RFW

Rhiannon Flora Wakefield is a London based menswear designer. Her inspiration is drawn from a myriad of sources including the natural world, historical narratives, artworks and photography. She primarily focuses on the use of minimal and oversized silhouettes combined with bold and graphic print works, although her aesthetic is constantly evolving.

RFW specialises in the engineering of prints, which ensures the integrity of a complete print image across a garment and the coherence of a full look. Her exposure to and use of combined textile disciplines such as screen print, sublimation, digital print, machine and hand embroidery as well as appliqué contribute to and reinforce her distinct aesthetic.

Throughout her training at Middlesex University she has developed comprehensive pattern cutting and technical skills which have enhanced the design and production process of her work contributing to her national success. As winner of the annual FAD Competition 2014, RFW was the first menswear designer since the competition was established in 2001 to receive the award. She also received a runner up position at the Karren Millen Portfolio Awards at Graduate Fashion Week.
