The collection Abstract Modernism takes inspiration from the abstract wood reliefs and graphic paintings of Ben Nicholson. The artworks are mirrored in the oversized and minimal silhouettes and the colour palette of Nicholson’s work is juxtaposed against the bold graphic use of abstract shapes prevalent throughout his woodcut series.
