ZORYA

The 2011 establishment of the ZORYA studio was foreshadowed by a long-time collaboration between Zdeněk Vacek and Daniel Pošta which gradually resulted in the crucial subject of their jewellery – time as a positive factor and a creative process. The two found the embodiment of this idea in the tripersonal guardian of the heavensʼ canopy − according to Slavic mythology, the ZORYA star represent the Morning, Midnight and Evening Stars. It is symbolized by a woman who transforms from a girl to a mother and from a mother to a crone every night, being reborn in the evening and disappearing with the morning. Her beauty and strength stream from the endlessly flowing change. Similarly, the women who wear ZORYA jewellery are not from a single age bracket but share natural creativity, positive energy and calm power based on their intrinsic harmony with the flow of time. The jewellery uses precious metals, surgical steel, flaxen ropes, diamonds, pearls and cultivated crystals and is created simultaneously in several lines but always in a natural continuity to the previous work. The necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings are produced in a Prague studio, in a family and friendly team which has organically grown around the successful pair. The dominant feature here is precise handwork supported by special tailor-made tools and technologies. Playing with new combinations and materials is firmly based on the perfect knowledge of traditional goldsmithing. The intuitive experiments at ZORYA always take future verification by time into consideration.
The ZORYA studio received the most prestigious design award in the country, the Czech Grand Design, and has presented its works at numerous international exhibitions and fairs: Premiere Classe Paris, Inhorgenta Munich, SOFA NY, SOFA Chicago, Milano Design Week and others. Its expanding sales network includes Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, the Maldives, Konstanz and Dubai. Simultaneously with developing the ZORYA jewellery brand, Vacek and Pošta have long been creating objects that fuse the spheres of art and design, while collaboration with talents from both areas will also pervade ZORYA jewellery soon.
