VILLAIN

Born in Seoul, South Korea 1994.
She attended academical middle/high school until,,
At the age of 18, she discovered her hidden passion for fashion.
She started sketching ideas and making clothes herself before she attends to NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan, Italy and learn fashion professionally.
In the middle of school years she takes ERASMUS course of one semester in LCF (London College of Fashion).
Getting BA at her age 25, she graduates NABA with final score 110/110 with a project named ‘aesthetic activewear’ with concept of what female villains in cartoons would love to wear.
She would wear her graduation collection time to time to parties and there,
finding that some people were interested in buying clothes, she tries to produce 2 items in 3 different colors that were each called “Hornie suit” and “Batkim suit”.
By a friend, she gets connected to a concept store in Milan called “5way” and she starts selling her clothes which is the beginning of her brand “VILLAIN” .
Coming back to her country during pandemic, She developed a few more items, making some clothes by herself in the beginning and soon starting to semi-mass-produce comparatively commercial items, which were dressed on K-pop artists like AESPA, G-IDLE…. She continued on artist side of brand by collaborating with artists from Italy (making a look book of cartoon with Italian cartoonist in an Italian magazine called <FRANKENSTEIN>), Mexico (producing virtual clothes that were also produced as actual clothes with vegan leather for sustainability of products), Korea (Collaborating for print design on collection with cartoon artist from 80’s) and Australia (Making a 3d designed look book as a form of 3d chrome-animal-humanoids wearing collection). Selling clothes off line in an editorial store “ISLABERLIN” in Germany, she reads that European consumers react to her collection better and decides to come back to Italy for re-constructing her design.
