Viktoria Gokun

Viktoria Gokun is a visual artist and garment designer who was born in Russia but grew up in the USA. Currently creating and living in Los Angeles, she is inspired by all layers of reality. Her grandmother was a clothing designer and taught her how to sew at a very young age. After exploring many creative outlets, Viktoria began to merge her art with sewing. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, she began working with a master designer where she learned about modern vintage couture. This collection, VESNA, is the aftermath of these studies. Each piece in this collection is made from raw materials which she hand paints, treats, and prepares for sewing. It is a meditative practice. When not using her own textiles, Viktoria carefully sources high quality materials, mostly vintage and transforms them into modern garments. The outcome is that each garment is one-of-a-kind. Enjoy!
