In 1995, Carlos Vera Dieppa, a pioneer in Latin American Textile design, developed an unusual technique of intertwining natural fibers with metals to create exceptional handwoven rugs. After his passing in 2010, his son Tomás and his daughter Cristina brought his technique back to life and built a brand that now lives and breathes a legacy based on both family and traditional Colombian craftsmanship. They named it VERDI in honor of their late father’s last names.

VERDI is now a multidimensional studio that combines the traditional and the contemporary to create homeware, fashion and art pieces for those aesthetically and socially aware. At our workshop, we hand-weave silver-plated threads and fibers such as silk and plantain to create distinct handbags that have sold at Moda Operandi, Net-A-Porter, Merci Paris & others, and been worn by many worldwide. We’ve also made homeware pieces for brands such as Goop and Bergdorf Goodman and have been regularly featured on magazines like Architectural Digest, Vogue, Surface Magazine and more.

Our materials are sustainably sourced, processed and finished. We believe that exceptional craft, attention to detail and superior quality define today’s ultimate luxury.
