SWORDS TOMORROW is a story of a gentle strength, resilience and flaw. It is a love letter to post-Soviet Central Asia. Every piece tells a story.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Yasmine Baratova was born and raised in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and is currently based in Hong Kong. She is inspired by her heritage and aims to fill the little space between the raw&grungey and the OPULENt&poetic.

НЕ СМОТРИ FW20 embodies the resilient, rebellious, Romantic spirit of SWORDS TOMORROW. It is an unrequited love letter to Central Asia and its people, paranoid and resilient as they are.

OPULENCE & DIRT:
The construction techniques, silhouettes, and prints originate from traditional references, with a contemporary aesthetic. The tactile, human element is emphasized through crudely hand-embroidered details, hand-painted textures on fabric, hand-drawn ornaments, and rust dyeing.
