Sumie Tachibana, founded in 2007 by designer and CEO Sumie Tachibana, is a clothing and accessories company originated in New York. In April 2013, the company relocated to Los Angeles, California.
Sumie specializes in unique one of a kind pieces that are multi-textured, multi-paneled, and often using black as the base. All items are designed and manufactured locally.
Sumie Tachibana has been featured in numerous publications and media including Vogue Italia, Zink Magazine, Hope Street Magazine, New York Magazine, Vestal Magazine, ABC Local News, and the Manhattan Portage Ad Campaign. Celebrities, Kat Von D, Alan Cumming, and Cyndi Lauper have also been seen in Sumie Tachibana designs.
