Shmelevsky

Shmelevsky is a Ukrainian brand of handcrafted hats founded by the brother duo Stas and Vlad Shmelevsky in 2017. One of us could not find the right hat and decided to create it by himself. After two years of learning and gaining experience in understanding the process from the beginning to the end, we have received positive feedback from many people, which inspired us to create the brand under our own name to let the world know about our passion. The first collection was influenced by the works of Anish Kapoor and modern sculpture.

We create hats without the help of pads in a manner resembling the creation of sculptures. Distinctive features of the brand are the unconventional shapes and modern design that is easy to wear. Each hat is created manually, and the entire process — from sketching to the final product — is performed by the designer himself, combining traditions of European and American millinery techniques.

We believe that a hat is more than just an accessory. It's always a challenge for oneself. Wearing a hat you will unwittingly attract the views of others. It requires some courage and a desire to express oneself. In other words, it is necessary to allow yourself to stand out and manifest your personality. We want to help people do this through our hats, inspire others and promote wearing headwear.
