I grew up in Taiwan, where also known in the past as Formosa, means a beautiful island in Portuguese. Taiwan is an island surrounded by beautiful nature, friendly people and interesting fusion of cultures that has influenced me a lot. Take my family as an example, I grew up in a family with my grandparents speak Japanese and my parents speak Mandarin Chinese, English and Taiwanese. And I moved to Milan around two years ago for my study and pursuing my career. I've always influenced by different cultures that has brought me a great interest to discover the beauty of it.

Apart from the culture point of view, there are many elements that contribute to my design, such as art, music, travel and the most important one, the people. The humanity and honest emotions of people are things inspired me the most. And I believe in that embracing the honest emotions and humanity are the key to enter the world of design. The beauty of humanity explains conflicts, balance and struggles of life. It creates emotions that contains certain powerful but simple messages behind each design of mine.

I consider my design simple and complex; beautiful and imperfect; universal yet individual. However, I expect each collection of mine becoming a bridge between the messages behind cloths and the people who wear them.
