Rob Elford is a digital artifact and fashion designer specializing in 3D printed accessories, state of the art 3D animation and virtual fashion. "Hoodoo Botanica" is inspired by a trip to the heart of American Voodoo, a place of Voodoo priestesses, graveyard shrines and ritual healing. Hoodoo Botanica is for those individuals who want rediscover some of the esoteric excitement that has been lost in a globalized world. Hoodoo Botanica is for the rebels, explorers and trailblazers of this world."Mother in Chains" is a metaphor for how we are incarcerating the natural world with pollution and industry. We keep Mother Nature shackled away from our own sense of modernity. The chains on the piece also serve as a reminder of how we too are chained to nature and we are foolish to take this symbiotic relationship for granted. "Mother in Chains" is 3d printed in white polyamide adorned with fresh water pearls and resin chains.
