Stirred by homesickness, she reminiscence the true value from her belongings she brought from home. This yearning of past and unwanted distance has sculpted her to find beauty of human touch through sentimental compilation. Kim develops each design by experimenting from direct interpretation. Her experiment involves deconstructing, reconstructing, collaging garments’ elements under the same theme ‘longing’. Perhaps what the designer is looking for is the remains of past and genesis figure to make it into her own property although it may be distorted and imperfect, just like her memory.
