REALE

The project ‘REALE’ born on 2008 and was created after a chance meeting between Camilla Giacomini, Stylist and Product Manager, and Daniele Scaboro, Sales Representative and Buyer of luxurious textiles and clothing accessories.
At a time when many businesses are taking advantage of the prestige of the tag and quality emphasised by ‘Made in Italy’, REALE promises just as the translation of the name suggests ‘REAL Made in Italy’. REALE ensures that the clothes are hand-made in Tailor shops that are quality-controlled and are the last bastions of ‘Made in Italy’. REALE uses only Italian textiles that are ecological, innovative (Organic cotton, Bamboo, Modal, Lyocell and Seacell) and, overall, luxurious (Silk and Cashmere).
Breaking the word ‘REALE’ into pieces, the RE of REALE stands for one of the three all important R s – Recycling. It highlights the attention that ‘REALE’ pays towards environmental issues. From the cut-offs and remnants of the REALE collection, accessories and small gadgets are created. REALE aims to leave no waste, therefore not freeing itself too easily from what it has and eradicating that contemporary philosophy of disposable lifestyle. This REALE ideal ensures that things become other things which consequently reduces the worrying accumulation of waste that is polluting our world.
The idea of REALE is to look at ‘old’ things with fresh eyes. REALE believes that offering a product that has its own story, contains memories and is able to incorporate new changes, is extremely fascinating. ‘REALE’ Boutique, found in the centre of Milan, is decorated in such a way that the message of RE is respected – all furniture and objects are antique but recreated to fit into a modern space, showing just how many lives an object can have.
