Nadia Sultana

23|| A small girl living in a big city with big dreams.

Fashion Design Graduate

Illustrator & Styling as a hobbyist.

Nadia Sultana is inspired by her lifestyle of gaming and anime from cos-play and Japanese culture, producing a mixture of cutting-edge, bold and quirky designs. A set of girly, striking and a contemporary pieces that is wearable for every shape. A must have in every girls wardrobe! Sultana has learned to love fashion by looking at different garments and styles created by it. She successfully applies research made on up-to-the-minute trends into her work.

A sheep that would follow the crowd, a copy-cat, someone who did not want to be different is something Sultana does not agree on. This made her wary at the way she dresses and how her garments are styled together that makes her to be unique to everyone else. Styles and designs that attracts her are digital patterns, structured blouse, tops and skirts, draped. Elegant dresses and opaque designs are styles that she also adores. Sultana has always admired David Koma’s designs that she inspires when she creates her work.

Feminine, bold and modish it looks to the eye motivated her to do more designs. Garments that takes on the body with a silhouette structure is something she loves doing. She often says phrases “I wanted to design for ladies”, “I wanted to be different”, “I wanted to take his ideas and make garments similar to his style” (David Korma). “Fashion is not following the crowd, it’s about being different. It’s what makes you stand out from everyone else.”
