Born in Beirut – Lebanon in 1996, Nayla Obeid began developing an appreciation of the artistic field at a young age when she started her music education and painting classes.
Nayla Obeid graduated in 2017, top of her class with a BA in Fashion Design. She presented her first Fashion Show in May 2017.
Being a professional classical musician and especially a violinist, Nayla is known for her minimalistic soul and her perfectionist character, which are portrayed in her designs.

CYBORG COUTURE

A cyborg [short for "cybernetic organism”] is a being with both organic and biomechatronic body parts.
I think that the physical attachments humanity has with even the most basic technologies have already made them cyborg.
In my collection I represented both Humans and Robotics and merged them in a futuristic minimalistic style.
I used the nude color symbolizing human flesh, the silver color referring to electronics and robotic, and the acetate fabric which is futuristic, yet allows the naked body to appear under the mass of pleats representing the technologies that are burying him.
