Mona was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Her designs reflect the ancient and rich Persian culture. Her interest in art started in her late teens but it wasn’t until she finished her university degree that she decided to pursue her passion for jewelry design. Following her degree in Computer Engineering, she studied Jewelry design, Gemology and Cutting cabochon stones.

She considers jewelry to be more than an object of fashion, but a poem without words. There is a story behind each of her designs. Every line, curve and shape has a meaning.

She designs jewelry to capture the essence of man’s deepest inner feelings, whilst borrowing shapes and ideas from ancient Persian culture. Mona believes jewelry should not be worn just because it is beautiful. It should be worn because people can relate to a piece of jewelry, like an expression of art, reflecting their character and beliefs. That is why only a limited number of items are meticulously handmade of each design, and, thus, unique.

She draws inspiration from nature, Persian legends, motifs and architectures for her designs whilst using grace and simplicity as her guide. She likes to incorporate motion and flow into a piece, without it looking too complicated.
