We use clothing as a creative tool to express peoples individuality and freedom.
We transmit the beauty of the Japanese fabrics with our WEARABLE ART STOLE to the world.

LOVE of JAPANESE TEXTILES

Michail Gkinis has been naturally infiltrated into the Japanese culture. During the last 15 years of living in Japan he is inspired by the Japanese aesthetics like wabi sabi the kimono culture and architecture. He discovers the skills of craftsmen from all over Japan and transforms those ideas from tradition into modernity with his European sensibility.

The WEARABLE ART STOLE is a modern hybrid expression of the Ancient Greek way of wrapping clothes fused with high tech innovative Japanese textiles and artisanal methods of making.

Our MISSION
We at Michail Gkinis Aoyama believe that clothing is a form of communication. We are passionate about Japanese textiles and we started this project with the desire to reintroduce the traditional Japanese kimono culture to the next generation in a modern way.
Our goal is to transmit the beauty of Japanese textiles in the form of our WEARABLE ART to all over the world.

DIVERSITY
