Mengdi Jin born in China, educated in USA, and have worked in New York. A undergraduate graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design. The collection ‘Wasteful Treasure’ has been displayed at Fashion show in Savannah, Atlanta and Hong Kong. Her Work has been displayed at Clara M. Eagle Gallery for 2016 Spotlight on Fiber Trends. She focus on explore the relationship between people and environment. As a volunteer, she has been went to Dominican Republic helped refugees and sold her works to help them.

Wasteful Treasure

The collection is inspired from the homeless people and old furniture on the street. ‘Wasteful Treasure’ means ‘trash to you, treasure to me’, which explored the relationship between people and recycling.
