Womenswear Spring/Summer 2017 collection celebrates the non beautiful nor aesthetically pleasing. Inspired by the relation betwen moving body and the cloth in motion, by creating a series of self - exploring photographs, that lead to the irregular, sculptural shapes and forms. Exploring flat, rectangular shapes and pieces of cloth, that "come alive" only worn on the body, in motion. Questioning the beauty and the gender side to it, or rather ignoring it, by not using feminity nor masculanity. Just a pure form and the feeling. Exploring pieces that create the intimate space between the body and the garment. It's not only to makes you look but to make you feel comfort, protection and confidence.
Looking back at my Polish routes, Eastern Europe suburbs and men that can appear thretening on the surface. Celebrating the beauty witin it.
Using bold clash of colours; fluorescent green with bright red, black with white, to represent that feeling and translating it into a styling.
Experimenting with techniques and mediums, like knitting, digital and hand painted print, as well as pleating techniques, foam and plastic.
My women is like my own alter-ego. Fearless and strong. Making her own decitions and celebrating her own aesthetics.
