My interest is in how the things we create come to be, and their ongoing design journeys after they are made and passed onto their eventual owner. A longstanding interest in architecture and design has lead me to an aesthetic heavily concerned with construction, pursuing innovative and challenging ways of creating clothing. I like to create garments that intrigue, which their wearer wants to examine up-close and inside-out, and cherish in their wardrobe as long as they can.

Latest Collection

Phosphorescent

Phosphorescent is made from irreverent, ethically sourced materials, with the resultant garments intended to endure physically and emotionally. Natural fabrics such as canvas, horsehair, cork and off-cut denim are treated in such a way that they appear unexpectedly luxurious. The garment construction is artisanal, transparent and legible, suggesting potential for change, adaptation or fixing in the future.

The collection is driven by ‘sustainability by stealth’ – it doesn't look 'ethical', rather slick and desirable. In the spirit of fashion designers having responsibility to educate people about the complexity of garment manufacture, and spending more on fewer, more unique, crafted items, the garment packaging shows the complex journey of each garment within beautiful graphics, with the community of makers and processes are credited on the garment labels.
