Laurence & Chico

FW16 Florist's inspiration comes from flower arrangement. We like to buy flowers every-now-and-then for our home and studio so one day Laurence came up with these drawings. However, in our world, this isn’t just your conventional “flower arrangements” but flowers sprouting out of creatures such as snails, caterpillars and giraffes. Chico used elements from Laurence’s illustrations of odd-looking plants and flowers to design for our newest collection. This season we have incorporated various types of materials- notably natural fabrics. Since this season focuses on “nature” with flowers and creatures as our focus, we explored with wool, cotton, wool blend and the finest faux fur. Staying true to our identity, prints and colors are still bright and vivid, but with more dimensional details and attention to textures.
