jiyong

Jiyong Kim is a South Korean fashion designer. He came to London in 2016 to study Menswear at Central Saint Martins after honing his exquisite technical skills at Bunka Fashion College in Japan. jiyong interned as a design assistant at Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton during the production of both the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer 2020 shows. He has also designed for Lemaire and Maison Mihara Yasuhuro.

jiyong’s graduate collection, ‘Daylight Matters,’ combines meticulous pattern cutting with delicate vintage fabrics that have been faded by the sun for several months, and whose appearance will continue to change throughout the seasons. jiyong is dedicated to making clothes that are one-of-a-kind, always fully sustainable, and are fit to the ways in which we dress ourselves today and in the future.
