DAASTAN- meaning a detailed story, is our way of showing the handcrafted stories of indulgent pieces of JIWYA, all purely plant based, all handmade, all personalised for the wearer. Combining multiple heritage arts from award winning artisans in each piece, in never seen before versions. A play on weaves and textures to bring the nature of soil.

A story of native, local varieties of cotton, linen, jute being cleaned into fibers and hand-spun into yarns. A story of these yarns being hand dyed with flowers, peels, barks and leaves. A story of handweaving these yarns into signature weaves while being one with the soil in pit-looms. A story of embellishing these weaves with hand-painting, or hand-embroidery or hand-block printing to nurture its essence.

Does it get more detailed than this on a single piece, let alone one that was incepted, designed and made without any waste generation or harming a soul. Every piece in this collection is just one and can be sized to the first-person ordering!
