Entitled Güera, suffix Tupi used to talk about the relationship of the present with the past, what was once and no longer, the collection analyzes the power existing in the feminine in dialogue with the contemporary. The projection of a femininity that once lay and that is present, leaves marks on what is lived today, brings to the body new meanings and forms.
The construction of femininity as we know it, inherent to the romanticized woman, with seductive and ambiguous archetypes, was questioned by the designer. He sought to re-signify it through elements present in the myth of Medusa, in the invention of agriculture by the woman and in the term "Celibate Machines" present in the literature of Deleuze and Guattari.
The designer decrees, "We need to think of the feminine today as a rapprochement between bodies, a reconnection with the sacred and a valuation of organic and manual processes." There is a power in femininity that is forgotten. thus reconnect with the intuition, delicacy and force present in the feminine. "
From the designer's reflections resulted in a collection replete with ambiguities and anarchy, built with strong colors like fuchsia and black in contrast to the off white and burnt green. The architectural forms question this body, the territory of the feminine, sometimes the mark, or the limits of it, in a sinuous walk between minimalist and brutalist aesthetic elements.
The pieces articulate by building a slender, broad silhouette, adorned with frills and cutouts that frame parts of the bodies.
