Isagoge corresponds to a deep introspection towards the search for identity in order to reconnect with my self, in essence, obtaining the necessary answers to alleviate an unhealed wound. Reconnecting sensorially through a reflection on knowing oneself better. I have based myself mainly on philosophical, metaphysical, psychological and sociological writings, together with a personal view. Showing a collection rooted in my feelings. To my way of seeing my own identity, through my feminine references that acquire a great importance in the collection. The collection shows a total of 7 looks, focused on a man with a longing for femininity. Regardless of roles and standard bearer of identity and equality as an act of artistic vindication. Showing the beauty of knowing yourself, "An x-ray of the soul". Reconnecting with your own inner energy source through memories. Generating an emotional stimulus. Isagoge collects the healing process, where it presents an artistic culmination and recovery of the creativity that once broke me. A return of confidence and security. It detaches itself from a cloudy mirror and an aimless reflection and concludes my student stage and exalts my starting point in fashion. Likewise, the collection externalises as an ideal, the act of imitating in order to build our own identity. "We imitate in order to build our own identity". Our references form the beginning of ourselves.
The design of the collection is characterised by the richness of the prints as a whole, with the idea of elevating the garments exponentially. I obtained most of the fabrics for the collection from a small second hand remnant shop and through the printing process I managed to give them a second life and create unique garments. All the designs have been created ethically and with quality fashion in mind from the beginning. The technique I used, corresponds to the process of sublimation and digital printing.
