Designer Background

Harrison Wong, founder of Harrison Wong Ltd. made his fashion debut in 1996 by winning the Hong Kong Young Designer’s Contest and The Grand Prix Contest in Japan. After earning a Masters degree with distinction at the London College of Fashion he has continuously launched women's and men's seasonal collections on international runways in New York, Milan, Shanghai, Taipei, Sydney and Hong Kong. As Design Director for a number of fashion houses in Hong Kong and China, Wong has build up substantial expertise in these dynamic markets.

Brand Introduction

Original contemporary apparel and accessories for fit, urban males. The fashions have an edgy, aggressive design but also emit an understated elegance. Clients will typically be fashion aware with a good eye for design and who tend to incorporate art and taste into daily life. The apparel and accessories will be of the highest quality yet affordable at the same time demonstrating that fine design and taste are not determined by the price tag.

Stone Lines
For his Fall Winter 2016-2017 Collection, Harrison Wong has focused on our planet, Earth. He has started with inspiration from nature--earth and stone--and has infused it with the purity of modern minimalism. Earth artists like Andy Goldsworthy Richard Long, and Robert Smithson are key influencers for this collection as their work demonstrates the beauty found in merging organic materials with pure conceptual form to create an art in graphic forms.
To translate these concepts into fashion design, Harrison Wong has taken organic textures and marble stone as his primary elements. The contrast between loose and tight fit echo the vast diversity found in the natural order. While the Collection silhouettes draw on influences from the 1970s and 1980s, a fresh, modern look emerges when mixed with earth art and natural influences.
