Gemma Torrent, born in 1999 in Barcelona, is a fashion designer graduated in 2021 whose mission is to get in her designs her inner world, the way she sees fashion as a tool of expression and her own label, and with which she aims to reach a female audience which values the meticulous, perfectionist and unique work that her designs carry.

Passionate about fashion from a very young age, Gemma decided to study fashion design at LCI Barcelona, where she concluded her studies with a final collection called "Alumco", which is her most outstanding work to date.

Despite having created a collection with all kinds of garments, her passion is underwear and swimwear, so she doesn't rule out designing in this area in the near future.

ALUMCO, is an original word from an indigenous village in Argentina that means reflection in water.
It gives its name to my collection, which is about a parallelism that I make between the cycle of life an a sailboat trip which I am the patron of the ship and I direct it to a known place where I aspire to be in peace with myself.

I summarize life in 3 phases: childhood, adulthood and old age.

Starting from these 3 concepts that are cohesive with each other, I wanted to mix each of the connotations that the phases of life awaken in me, thus creating a hybrid of volumes, from more oppressed to more volatile, thus making an allusion to life in each one of the looks.
Also, by way of connecting each of the garments, I add the rope as a symbol of union between stages: when you are a child, you are the one who is tied; when you grow up and enter maturity, it is you who creates your own ties and ties others; When you enter old age, you leave your ends behind, but despite this, they leave mark in you because they have lived with you all your life.
That is why the rope will be present in the entire collection.
