Evaristo Pereira

Evaristo Pereira is an emerging, creative Portuguese designer with a background in pattern and cutting, currently exploring advanced innovative clothing construction approaches. With a concentration on creating unique and contemporary womenswear, the brand mission aims to support causes that will change perceptions of clothing as an art form, sustainability, inclusivity, and traditional aspects of made-to-measure clothing. By combining innovative materials, textiles, new silhouettes, and innovation in pattern cutting, the designer focuses on trying to develop new fibers and advanced production techniques that could impact the fashion industry in the long-term future. Evaristo Pereira aesthetic is mindful of the past, relies on the present, and expects to innovate the future. All the clothes produced represent consciousness in its whole within several fields. It is conscious of sustainability, Innovation, Tradition, Technology, and its consumers.
Evaristo’s design career started at Southampton Solent University, United Kingdom, where he received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Fashion degree with distinction. During his time at Solent University, he had the opportunity to complete an internship at the China Academy of Art and Design in Shanghai, where his work was featured in the 9+1 Symphony of a Fashion exhibition. Evaristo also showcased his work at the Shanghai Graduate Fashion Week, where the collection Lotus remains timeless as part of the China Academy of Art and Design archives.
During his journey in the United Kingdom, Evaristo's collection Renewal was selected to be showcased at the London Graduate Fashion Week in 2019, where its portfolio got recognized by the group LVMH (GIVENCHY and Christian Dior Couture recruiters) , and he received a tuition scholarship for a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he is currently in his final year of study. Renewal was also showcased during Berlin Fashion Week, at the Berlin Fashion Week Sample Show 2019, and in 2021 was submitted to the prestigious Hyères International Festival of Fashion.
Evaristo is currently in his final year of study for an MFA in Fashion Degree at Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia. During his time at Savannah College of Art and Design, he has been a finalist for the CFDA K11 Innovation Award (2020) and received an Honorable Mention, being the first Portuguese designer ever being nominated for a category at the prestigious CFDA awards. Pereira's work Expedited Future I also won the YKK design Sponsorship Award in 2022.
Alongside his academic career, Evaristo has had the opportunity to work in several fields of Fashion, such as design, visual merchandising, e-commerce, freelance, tutoring, and creative direction.
