Erika Janavi

My name is Erika Janavi.
I came by bus, yes by bus, from Lithuania to London to study fashion and textiles in 2011. I had a wild ride discovering myself and challenging my career in a variety of fields, however not fashion. During the first lockdown I came to the realisation as to how fascinated I am about textiles and how much creativity I can give to designing, which is why I’m now pursuing this as a career. More than that I managed to adapt my unusual lifestyle into my designing. The majority of my possessions are antique or vintage because I am passionate about sustainable living and timeless everlasting designs. Therefore I make my pieces from unique antique /vintage fabrics and materials.
