Emily Ridings creates hand-crafted clothing and accessories from remnant and surplus materials. Each piece is a celebration of process, led by intuition, innovation, and play. Small batch capsules and one offs are offered with a dynamic approach, intersecting mediums of fine tailoring, woodworking, smithing, and weaving. Emily amplifies techniques of traditional craft and revitalizes found materials. There is a narrative throughout every piece, combining past with present and skill with curiosity.
Emily is a Kentucky native and earned a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute. Her studio is based in Kentucky, and she often returns to New York for collaborative projects.
