Dérive af Burén is an ethical fashion label created by two Colombian/Swedish sisters Diza and Victoria af Burén.They fuse, indigenous beadwork and textiles made in Colombia and Guatemala with fashion forward design to create authentic, one of a kind apparel.
Dérive af Burén envisions fashion as an art form and a platform to empower populations, preserve traditional hand work, and create awareness.
Just as an art piece, all Dérive af Burén garments are unique. They come with an authenticity certificate that tells the story of the hands that created it and the amount of time invested into designing and making the piece.
By doing so they highlight to the consumer the amount of work, time and love that are put into each piece, all to give fashion its real value.
