For 10,000 years humans have used abstract symbols and shapes to convey meaning. Every thought, discovery and emotion ever recorded has been captured with simple arrangements of shape, line, and form. As if by magic.

With the immense power of symbols in mind, Cradle creates objects that transcend their physical forms, allowing the wearer to convey messages and ideas in languages not yet known.

Sonia Marie Mitchell began designing jewelry in 2006. She studied jewelry design and worked in the New York fashion industry, prior to launching Cradle in early 2014 in Portland, Oregon. She is currently based in New York where she handcrafts each piece in her studio in Brooklyn.
