KOHAZE

KOHAZE

For Fall 2019 Zoran Dobric collaborated with Japan's Aoyama Kohaze, a maker of kohaze: fingernail-shaped clasps for fastening of tabi (Japanese socks), kyahan (Japanese leggings) and tekkou (Japanese hand and wrist covers). By painstakingly embroidering the kohaze onto luxurious silks, Zoran Dobric is the first Western designer to collaborate with this company established in 1919. The collection also features embroideries using vintage hair samples, laser mirror foil cutting, and sublimation and digital printing, making each fabric an original work of art.
