Caldera was Tess Whitfort's graduate range from her Bachelor of Fashion Design which she completed at Box Hill Institute in Melbourne, Australia in 2017. This collection won her the Melbourne Fashion Week emerging student designer award. The collection is inspired by volcanoes, climate change, destruction, the hypothetical impending apocalypse, and the way we affect the world around us, for better or for worse. The garments feature techniques including laser cutting, digital prints, custom knitwear, hand beading, and unique fabric manipulations.
