Did you know that the 70's vibe also had its fellows in Africa's western parts like Mali? Photographer and Hasselblad Award winner Malick Sidibé captured his compatriots in the happy 70's and the 80's showing a people full of joy, power and the strong will to change by being progressive and expressing their freedom in style. So this actually happened also in Africa and it was interesting to see all these things happening with the same attitude (non-chalant but sincerly at the same time) as in the West - a time for change, also in Europe and the US.
