The new story for spring/ summer 2012 is inspired by Bauhaus artist Anni Albers. She is considered the foremost textile designer of our century. So for Schneider, coming from a textile background, this was a work she felt very attracted to and was interested to explore. The result are various pieces that show the geometric arrangements you find in Anni Albers’ fabrics. And as for Schneider’s technique, showing even more clear that her way of creating jewelry is more about weaving than traditional goldsmithing.
