Diane Arbus called freaks the aristocracy. I related to this sentiment. "Queens" is my final year project and Arbus's photography was my main inspiration for it.The confidence and strength I wish to see in a woman wearing my clothes I found in the faces of Diane Arbus’s freaks. I noticed that the young, the old and the strange in her pictures were dressed like queens and princesses and that is what I wanted to explore in my collection.
