Graduate Collection:

Initially inspired by the song 'Mariella', a story of a young girl who created a world inside her head and stayed there, despite the struggle with her mother and society who try and force her to fit in, I expressed this struggle through fabric manipulation, cut and sizing, while reinforcing the notion of the misfit. In essence, it looks at the struggle to express yourself through forced upon ideals and the importance of creative freedom, imagination and expression of true self.
