Beginning with Ralph Waldo Emerson's poem 'Brahma', I started researching the meanings behind the individual lines. I came across the idea of 'Mathematical Mysticism' and 'Divine Proportion'- a set of principles that have been used for centuries by artists and architects alike to help create paintings and buildings with aesthetically pleasing and harmonious proportions.
