This collection was inspired by a trip to Japan with inspiration pulled from the bright, colorful signs synonymous with Tokyo and mixed with the more utilitarian and functional clothing being worn by the Japanese construction workers in Osaka. the colors, silhouettes and plentiful attention to detail (especially pockets) on the construction worker’s uniforms translate seamlessly to kids design, especially when mixed with exciting colors. I made the shoes by hand, wanting to complete the vision of the collection from head to toe.
