1/600 is a collection inspired by the Lysosomal Storage Disease, Gaucher Disease, which i was diagnosed with 3 years ago. Shape, silhouetter and proportion are inspired by playing with volume to mimic the way Gaucher cells affect a select few organs in the body. The colour scheme and fabric choices are based around the medical equipment, such as the transparency and range of tones within plastic packaging, and the colours used within needles, IV tubes and filters. The flowers used within the collection are a juxtapostion between the sciene and organic forms.
