Wabi-Sabi

Wabi-Sabi

The collection “Wabi-Sabi” is a Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection. Wabi means simplicity, freshness, quietness and Sabi means beauty or serenity that comes with age. However, my inspiration is moss which is a primitive plant. Being grown in unusual places, in uneven pattern, these primitive plants caught my attention because they are unwanted and valueless, however; they beautify the area where they grow. Also, they need no external efforts to grow. I consider moss being imperfect; however they are immensely beautiful.
