Wei-An Chen’s S/S 15 collection “WHEN 60’S MEET PLEATS” combines 60’s fashion trends “space age” with Japanese paper craft origami to create a dynamic and colourful aesthetic.
Chen’s exploration and experimentation with various origami styles are conveyed into three-dimensional textures within her collection. Chen’s print is inspired by Italian Artist Luciano De Liberato, and his use of simple
lines combined with a vivid palette. She plays with the scale of her print to create a complex effect that transmits depth and dimension.
