Informed by a family trip taken to Bath, England to visit the site of my mother’s childhood I created this collection as a naive yet respectful reflection of the rich eccentricities that make Britain great. Using various wool fabrics and hand knit yarns, the collection is given further tactile interest through the use of denim, and silk lace.The collection’s silhouette shrinks the torso and elongates the legs, to mimic the stone busts perched atop pedestals found throughout Bath. Intricate pattern cutting is used to create the unique volumes without the need for heavy under structure.
