The inspiration behind this collection is the dark history of stripes, specifically in the scandalous middle ages, where only people outside the social order was to wear stripes, like prostitutes and criminals, so people could redicule them and point them out from the normal and accepted individuals. This inspiration is paired with the isolated lives of depressed suburban housewifes and their coffee coloured, melancholic surroundings.
