this collection is inspired by a personal memory of my childhood, spent in the philippines. i saw these women who were working in the countryside, dressed in a very masculine way. they wore long and rolled-up trousers; a short t-shirt over another with long sleeves and, finally, they were wearing a straw hat as a protection from the sun.
from this memory of mine i imagined these women in a more urban context.
