During my research I got very fascinated by male stereotypes (how they should look, what to wear, their jobs etc.). It came apparent to me that the cosmetic industry is mainly targeted at females, which became my leading inspiration. Thus I decided to create a character that both works in harsh conditions relying on functional workwear but simultaneously feels restricted by his garments. My collection allows for these boys to explore the boundaries of clothing that seem accessible but moderately step over society’s image of how men should dress.
