The focal inspiration for the “Trails” collection was the trash punk aesthetic. As evident, the shapes represented in the collection’s pieces draw on inspiration from various elements that can be found on a highway. These include tire trails which resonate with the collection’s title, but also delicate elements such as flowers as well as more eerie elements such as roadkills. The “Trails” collection is compiled from zero-waste materials which were obtained in an organic way (i.e., borrowed or found) rather than purchased.
