Wigham’s AW19 collection showcases the story of Operation Pedestal; the daring supply mission that saved the besieged island of Malta from falling into the hands of evil during the Second World War. Dazzle-printed pieces are cut up as if caught in an explosion; coats and vests become distorted through the use of a warped, camouflaged colours. The cut of the collection has been directly influenced from archival Naval garments, with practicality and theatricality blending into one beneath sculptural forms inspired by the twisted metal of torpedoed ships.
