To bite a pearl is to test its authenticity, to feel the gritty texture of something real, or the smooth plastic of a simulation. This collection, PEARL BITER is my love letter to misspent youth, poor time-keeping and disobedient women. It celebrates the gaze of self regard, playing dress up for oneself and being and doing the inappropriate.
I am conjuring the feral and imperfect muse that is in all of us when we give it voice. This is a collection that whispers past lives and half truths, boastful grandeur and everyday vices.
